Words....
hello people...as usual i am at my office today...feeling sleepy and bored...i really think i am not getting enough of my beauty sleep...hehe....thanks to the world cup that is...i actually got up 20 minutes later today than my normal time...boy i had to rush to get ready in time...hehe...
and yes..brazil won their match with ghana in style...hehe...finally a performance that is worth a watch...world cup class...after sooooooo many let down performances...even france surprisingly did well against spain...who would have guessed they would win...but they did...and i got a free lunch for that...cause my dad had a bet with one of my workmates for the game...and he won since he choose france...hehe....yum yum...FREE LUNCH TODAY!!!
well...while i was sitting here and doing nothing besides waiting for my supervisor give me an explaination on how to type out some documentation he needs...i was doing some thinking...and yes, it is about the title i wrote..."WORDS"...so simple yet so powerful...it is the one weapon you can use to hurt others or make them happy without even having physical contact with them...
i guess many of us tend to forget how influential the words we use can be on one's life...we often tend to forget how sensitive a single word can be to others eventhough to us it might mean nothing at all...this is because different people from different backgrounds, gender, religion, and thinking have their own perceptions...well, just think about it...what would happen if you called a muslim a pig?? compare that with the reactions of others with different religions in the same situation...if you ask me, the muslim will be very offended because pigs are sensitive issues in their religion...but it is not that of a big deal with others...get the picture?? hope you do...hehe
through my life so far...i have been through a few situation where i have been offended by some words used by people on me...most of the time it isn't such a big issue since they actually did not mean to offend me...further more, i have a very open mind bout this issue because i know i have offended others as well with my free use of words...and these people actually have no idea that they are offending me
but its a different story all together when a person uses these words intensionally, knowing the impact of it and meaning every word of it...how is one supposed to react on this occasion?? for me, i still have no idea...hehe...to know the fact that this particular person knows how sensitive what he or she is saying and still mean every one word of it...especially if that person is someone close to your heart...would you forget it and just let it go?? or would it affect your relationship with that particular person??
that i guess will depend on how bad the words used were...but most of the time, eventhough things go back to normal between the both of you...the scars will still remain...so i dont think the relationship will be the same as where you left it because some respect you had for the person will be gone...as they say, to get reapect you need to give respect...and if you cant give respect, then dont expect it for in form others
well i have had many many personal experiences with this issue...and to tell you the truth, it hurts like crap...since most of it came from loved ones...until today i have no idea what was being proved by that actions....justification?? reasoning?? showing lack of respect?? intentional hurt?? or just plain crapping without knowing how serious it may turn out to be??...but as they say life goes on...hehe...got over most of it but the respect also faded gradually...dont know if i ever will be able to forgive or forget that...guess only time will tell...
till then...thanks for reading my crap again...your time spent is appreciated...hehe....thanks
